Police Investigate Robbery Incident in Savannah

Just after 9PM yesterday, 1 April police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a robbery that took place at a business establishment on Homestead Crescent in Savannah.

It was reported that two masked men entered the premises, one armed with a firearm, the other with a knife, and demanded cash. The men made off, on foot, with a quantity of cash, in an unknown direction. One of the men was wearing long sleeve black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers, the other was wearing a multicoloured shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

The men were said to have made off on foot to the rear of the premises. No shots were fired during the incident and one man who was present at the location sustained minor injuries. The incident is being investigated by the police and detectives are encouraging anyone with information about this or any other recent robbery incidents to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
