Just after 7PM 3 April, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a single vehicle collision that occurred on West Church Street, West Bay, near the junction of Henning Lane

The vehicle, a blue Honda Accord, was traveling west along West Church Street with two occupants, a 32-year-old-man of West Bay and his 1-year-old daughter, when the collision occurred. Both the Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) and the Emergency Medical Services were dispatched along with the police. The occupants were removed from the vehicle by the CIFS officers and immediately transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance, where they were both pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.

The public is being asked to avoid this area if possible and motorist are being diverted to Town Hall Road or Willie Farrington Drive. The RCIPS thanks the public for their cooperation and apologizes for any inconveniences caused.
