Police Investigate Wounding Incident on Eastern Avenue

Shortly before 4:00AM on Wednesday, 5 March, officers received a report of a wounding incident outside a bar in Dolphin Plaza on Eastern Avenue, where it was reported that a man had received a wound to the head. The involved parties left the location prior to the arrival of the police. However, shortly afterwards, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre directed officers to another location in George Town, where they located a man who appeared to be the victim. EMS attended the location and the man was transported to hospital for treatment for what appeared to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The matter is currently under investigation by George Town CID. Anyone who has any information regarding the incident, or who was in the vicinity of Dolphin Plaza between 3:00AM and 4:00AM on Wednesday, 5 March, is asked to contact 949-4222.
