Police Respond to Assault ABH in Cayman Brac

Police Respond to Assault ABH in Cayman Brac

Shortly before 12:15PM, Thursday 8 February, police responded to a report of an assault with a bladed weapon taking place in the parking lot of a restaurant on South Side Road West, Cayman Brac.

On arriving at the scene, police observed a man on the ground near a vehicle, with injuries. A second man, armed with a machete was acting aggressively towards the man on the ground.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man of West Bay, who currently resides in the Brac, for Assault ABH, Possession of an Offensive Weapon and Damage to Property, and recovered the machete.

The injured man was transported to Faith Hospital for treatment of his injuries and was later released.

The matter is currently under investigation, and anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or have any other information, is asked to contact the Cayman Brac Police Station at 948-0331.
