Police Respond to Report of Vehicle on Fire and Discover a Body

Around 2:10PM, Thursday 3 April, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in an open lot in Bodden Town.

On arrival at the scene officers observed a body, with no sign of life, inside the vehicle. The fire was extinguished and a cordon has been established while officers carry out their investigation.

It was confirmed that the individual inside the vehicle was deceased. The identity of the deceased individual has not yet been established.

Investigators are encouraging anyone who was a witness to this incident or has any information, to contact the police via 911, or the RCIPS Major Incident Room (MIR) on 649-2930.
