Police Response to Two-Vehicle Collision on Bodden Town Road

On Saturday night, 27 September, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in the Midland Acres Area of Bodden Town. Upon the arrival of officers, a vehicle departed the location at high speed, without lights activated. The vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, was soon observed continuing to travel west along Bodden Town Road, at high speed without its lights on. The Jeep eventually collided with a Honda Fit which was travelling in the opposite direction, and a roadside structure, east of Condor Road.

 

Officers attended the location and assisted the driver of the Jeep, who appeared to have been seriously injured, conducting first aid until the arrival of EMS.

 

The driver and passenger of the Honda Fit received what appeared to be minor injuries.

 

All three persons were transported to the Anthony Eden Hospital for treatment, and the occupants of the Honda were subsequently discharged.

 

The driver of the Jeep, a woman age 25 residing in Bodden Town, was arrested on suspicion of Dangerous Driving. She remains in hospital in stable condition.

 

The roadway was temporarily closed following the collision as investigations were conducted, the road was subsequently re-opened.

 

The matter is currently under investigation.
