Potential Tropical Cyclone One at 10 am was located near 22.3 N 86.8 W, about 125 miles N of Cozumel Mexico, or about 407 miles northwest of Grand Cayman. The system is moving northeast at 5 mph with max sustained winds of 40 mph.

If the system becomes more defined it may develop into a Tropical Storm in the next 12 to 24 hours. There is no Tropical Storm warning expected for the Cayman Islands.

The system is forecasted to continue northeast across the eastern Gulf of Mexico reaching southern Florida by Saturday afternoon and into the western Atlantic Ocean by Sunday evening.
