RCIPS Investigate Report of Robbery and Stabbing Incident

Shortly after 10.45pm, last night, Friday 1 October, police received a report from the 911 communication centre of a robbery and stabbing incident in the vicinity of Marquee Plaza, George Town.

On arriving at the scene EMS were attending a man with minor head injuries. The man was transferred to George Town Hospital for assessment, but he latter discharged himself.

Initial investigations report that a verbal dispute turned physical between the victim and another man, but there is no evidence of a robbery or stabbing, as was originally reported. Police continue to investigate the incident.
