Severe Weather Bulletin

A very active tropical wave currently extending across Haiti is expected to move over the western Caribbean. The National Hurricane Center has this system at a 80% chance of developing into cyclone in 5 days when it moves over the Yucatan Peninsula.

Whether or not the system develops into a tropical depression or stronger, the following conditions are expected for the Cayman Islands.

Cloudy to overcast skies with scattered thundershowers. Showers are likely to be heavy at times along with flooding of low lying areas. Seas area forecasted to be rough from tomorrow night and become very rough on Friday with wave heights of 6 to 8 feet.
