Statement Regarding Bus Driver Strike

The Hon. Kenneth Bryan, along with Chief Officer Stran Bodden and staff from the Public Transport Unit met with a group of Public Bus Operators and Drivers Wednesday (8 March) to discuss the issues surrounding enforcement of a bus route.

Minister Bryan, who is in Barbados in his capacity as Chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organization attended the meeting virtually, and following lengthy discussions the issue was amicably resolved, pending final approval by the Public Transport Board (PTB).

It was further acknowledged and agreed upon, that moving forward there will be an increase in communication between the Bus Drivers and the PTU.
