More than 200 business professionals, investors and community members gathered at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort on 25 September for a special Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours hosted by MyRealtor, highlighting real estate investment opportunities in Panama and strengthening connections between the Cayman Islands and the Central American market. The event, Discover Panama, introduced attendees to GranCentral Panama, a development offering prospective buyers and investors the opportunity to explore residential and investment properties in one of the region's growing real estate markets. Representatives from the GranCentral Panama development team travelled to Grand Cayman for the event, joining the MyRealtor team in presenting information on the project, available properties, investment opportunities and the advantages of investing in Panama. Guests also had the opportunity to engage directly with the development team, ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the purchasing process and the wider Panama real estate landscape. The evening combined informative presentations with networking opportunities, allowing attendees to connect with industry professionals while exploring potential avenues for international investment. Roger Southam of MyRealtor said the strong attendance and enthusiastic response reflected growing interest among Cayman residents in expanding their investment horizons. "The evening was a tremendous success and a great opportunity to introduce Cayman to the possibilities available in Panama. The level of interest and engagement we received reinforced exactly why we wanted to create this connection. For MyRealtor, this is about expanding the opportunities we can offer our clients beyond Cayman and building strong international relationships that create real value." The event generated significant interest among attendees, with a number of prospective investors moving into active discussions following the presentations. Organisers reported that deposits have already been secured, demonstrating that interest in the opportunity extended well beyond the event itself. As a result of that early momentum, MyRealtor is now coordinating visits to Panama for clients who have placed deposits, giving them the opportunity to experience the GranCentral development and surrounding area firsthand before moving further along in the purchasing process. According to MyRealtor's Kiara McLaughlin, the progression from initial conversations to tangible commitments has been one of the most encouraging outcomes of the event. "It was exciting to see so many people genuinely interested in learning more about Panama and the investment opportunities available there. We're already seeing that interest turn into action, with deposits paid and flights to Panama now being arranged for clients to see their investments firsthand. That is incredibly exciting for us because it shows that the evening didn't just create conversation, it created real opportunities and meaningful next steps." The successful event marks an important step in MyRealtor's continued expansion into international real estate opportunities and reflects the company's commitment to connecting Cayman Islands residents with carefully selected investment prospects beyond the local market. It also highlighted the value of bringing investors, developers and industry professionals together to build relationships, share knowledge and explore new opportunities in an increasingly connected global marketplace.
