STATEMENT - Breach of Ministerial Code of Conduct

Hon. Kenneth Bryan, MP
Minister of Tourism and Transport

"I would like to address recent comments in relation to a video that I did with my wife when flyers were being distributed in a part of my constituency on her behalf.

Since assuming the government, the PACT Administration has gone to great lengths to demonstrate to the public that we operate on a platform of transparency and accountability. Our introduction of the first-ever Ministerial Code of Conduct within our first 100 days in office is but one example of our commitment to this objective.

As a member of this administration, I take very seriously my responsibilities to the people of the Cayman Islands, whom I have sworn to serve to the best of my ability. I am proud to be the Minister for Tourism and Transport and I am equally proud to be a husband and father that cares for my family and strives to support their dreams and aspirations.

In relation to the video, I got this wrong and apologise unreservedly to my constituents, the people of the Cayman Islands, the Governor, the Premier, and my other colleagues in the PACT Administration."
