Police/Court

Police, Fire, emergency services and other partner agencies, remain on the scene of the house explosion incident which occurred Monday 5 June, at a residence on Bayfield Crescent, shortly after 1:00PM.

Initial investigations indicate that the incident does not appear to be due to suspicious circumstances.

The established police cordon currently remains in place, however, the NRA has been working to clear the road of debris today. It is expected that the road will be re-opened by the end of the day. Once the road is cleared the police cordon will be reduced to the immediate vicinity of the property where the incident occurred.

As this work takes place and the investigation continues, the public is being reminded to avoid the area and to remain outside of the police cordon.

One man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
