On Saturday, police arrested a 39-year-old man of George Town on Suspicion of Attempt Murder and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, in relation to the Eastern Avenue shooting incident that occurred shortly after 3:00AM this morning, Saturday 14 September.

The man was taken to the detention center where he remains in custody.

Investigations continue into this matter.
