Water-Related Death off Seven Mile Beach

Shortly before 5:00PM, 15 May, officers responded to a report of a sudden death at the Cayman Islands Hospital. A man had been snorkeling off Seven Mile Beach, south of Governor’s Beach, when he encountered difficulties and was brought to shore. Members of the public conducted CPR on the man until the arrival of emergency services. He was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital and later pronounced dead.

The man, age 51, is a visitor from Massachusetts, in the United States.
