Woman Arrested In Relation to Serious Assault Incident

A woman, age 40, residing in West Bay, has been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH in relation to a domestic incident.

On 5 March, officers received a report that a man and woman know to each other had been involved in an altercation at a bar off Shedden Road, during which the man was struck by a car driven by the woman. The incident was reported to have occurred on the evening of Saturday, 28 February. Following investigative enquires into the matter it was revealed that the man sustained severe leg injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment on the night of the incident.

The woman has been subsequently arrested by officers, and remains in custody as investigations continue.
