The Breast Cancer Foundation is proud to announce that Dr. Corrine Ellsworth Beaumont, PhD MFA, will serve as guest speaker at its 2026 Annual Gala, marking the Foundation's 17th anniversary. Her participation underscores the Foundation's ongoing commitment to raising awareness and advancing early detection across the Cayman Islands.
Dr. Ellsworth Beaumont is a pioneering communication designer and the visionary founder and CEO of Dandelion Health and the Know Your Lemons Foundation, a global charity dedicated to transforming breast health education. Her innovative use of visual metaphor to teach symptoms, screening, and diagnosis has helped break through taboo, fear, and literacy barriers that so often stand in the way of early detection.
Since founding the organization with her own savings in 2017, her work has reached over 2 billion people worldwide, helping to save countless lives. Her achievements include the Webby Award-winning Know Your Lemons app, an early detection campaign translated into more than 40 languages, a volunteer breast health educator program, and a partnership network spanning hospitals, governments, and NGOs in more than 75 countries.
The Breast Cancer Foundation is proud to be part of this global network. All BCF staff members are trained "Lemonistas," and in 2025 alone, the team taught over 90 Know Your Lemons classes across the community - a milestone that has established the Foundation as a global leader within the Know Your Lemons network.
Dr. Ellsworth Beaumont's influence extends well beyond design. She has contributed to international panels including the WHO Global Breast Cancer Initiative and has spoken at major global events such as the United Nations Conference and the World Cancer Congress. In 2025, Google named her a featured app developer and profiled her work in a short film for its We Are Play series. Her TEDx talk on the power of design in healthcare received a standing ovation.
