Caribbean Women Shine at Landmark 2026 Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards
15 Women from Seven Caribbean Territories Recognized During Caribbean POSH's 10th Anniversary Celebration in the British Virgin Islands
British Virgin Islands – Caribbean women from across the region were celebrated for their leadership, innovation, and impact as 15 outstanding women representing seven Caribbean territories were honoured at the 2026 Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards, the signature event of the landmark 10th Annual Caribbean POSH Weekend.
Held in the British Virgin Islands under the theme "The Future of the Caribbean: Connection, Collaboration & Growth," the milestone event brought together entrepreneurs, government leaders, tourism executives, creatives, and changemakers from across the Caribbean and diaspora for several days of leadership conversations, networking, cultural experiences, and celebration.
This year's winners represented Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, St. Maarten, the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis, The Bahamas, and the British Virgin Islands, highlighting the remarkable talent and leadership emerging throughout the region.
Among the standout performances, Trinidad & Tobago captured seven of the 15 award categories, while Jamaica, St. Maarten, the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis, and The Bahamas also celebrated regional winners across categories including entrepreneurship, education, health advocacy, youth leadership, fashion, digital influence, wellness, film, sports, culture, culinary arts, performing arts, and community development.
Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards have grown into one of the Caribbean's leading platforms dedicated to recognizing women whose work is creating meaningful impact across industries while inspiring future generations of leaders.
"This year's awards were a powerful reminder of the extraordinary women who continue to shape the future of the Caribbean," said Janette Brin, Founder & CEO of Caribbean POSH.
"For ten years, Caribbean POSH has been committed to celebrating women whose leadership often goes unrecognized. Every winner represents courage, resilience, innovation, and service, and together they remind us that Caribbean excellence knows no borders."
The celebration also paid tribute to six distinguished regional leaders whose careers continue to influence the future of the Caribbean. Honourees included Honourable Cora Richardson-Hodge, Premier of Anguilla; Dr. Legena Henry, Founder & CEO of Rum & Sargassum; Dona Regis-Prosper, Secretary-General & CEO of the Caribbean Tourism Organization; Jennifer Matarangas-King, Commissioner of the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism; Hilma Roebuck, Owner and Operating Manager of 101.3 ROEFM WEVI; and Lynette Harrigan, MBE, Niche Marketing/Tourism Liaison Manager at the BVI Tourist Board.
Premier Richardson-Hodge also delivered the keynote address, inspiring attendees with a message centered on visionary leadership, regional collaboration, and creating opportunities for future generations of Caribbean women.
Beyond the awards, Caribbean POSH Weekend featured a dynamic programme including the POSHgirl POWER Brunch, the signature PINK Sunday Sunset Sail, networking experiences, leadership conversations, and curated cultural activities—all designed to strengthen regional connections and foster meaningful collaboration among Caribbean women.
Since its inception, Caribbean POSH has evolved from a magazine into one of the region's most influential platforms dedicated to increasing the visibility of Caribbean women through storytelling, recognition, leadership, and connection.
"As we celebrate ten years of Caribbean POSH, we are incredibly proud of the community we have built," Brin added.
"Our mission has always been bigger than an awards programme. It's about creating a movement that celebrates Caribbean women, amplifies their stories, builds meaningful regional relationships, and ensures their contributions are recognized both throughout the Caribbean and around the world."
As Caribbean POSH enters its second decade, the organization remains committed to creating opportunities for Caribbean women to connect, collaborate, lead, and inspire—while continuing to celebrate those whose work is shaping a stronger, more visible, and more united Caribbean.
