The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with MyRealtor, is inviting members and guests to a special Business After Hours networking event on Friday, 25 September 2026, at the Marriott Resort Grand Cayman, featuring an exclusive presentation on real estate investment opportunities in Panama.
The event, titled "Panama Gran Central Real Estate Investment Evening," will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Marriott Ballroom and will combine networking, refreshments and expert presentations focused on one of Latin America's most dynamic property markets.
Attendees will hear from Roger Southam and Kiara McLaughlin, who will provide insights into Panama's growing real estate sector and introduce the Gran Central development, an ambitious mixed-use project located in the heart of Panama City's cultural district.
Guests will have the opportunity to learn about a range of investment options designed to appeal to both seasoned investors and individuals looking to diversify their portfolios through international real estate ownership.
According to event organisers, the Gran Central development represents the creation of an entirely new district within Panama City, strategically positioned within easy reach of the capital's business district, historic quarter and major conference facilities.
"The project offers a range of investment opportunities designed to generate returns through both short-term and long-term rental strategies," said Roger Southam. "Panama continues to demonstrate economic stability and strong growth prospects, making real estate investment a compelling use of capital for investors seeking long-term value."
The development is being delivered by a team with more than 20 years of experience creating residential and mixed-use properties across the region. Particular emphasis has been placed on innovative design features intended to maximise both flexibility and income potential for property owners.
Among the development's standout features is the ability to configure certain two-bedroom units into a one-bedroom apartment and separate studio accommodation, creating additional rental opportunities and greater versatility for investors.
"The properties available have been designed with exceptional care and thoughtfulness," Southam noted. "From innovative layouts to flexible rental configurations, every aspect of the project has been developed to help owners capture maximum opportunity and revenue."
MyRealtor has been selected as the exclusive marketing representative for the project in the Cayman Islands, reflecting the firm's growing profile within the local property sector and its focus on identifying emerging investment opportunities for its clients.
"MyRealtor was chosen by the developer to exclusively market Gran Central in the Cayman Islands because of its innovative approach and strong reach among investors," Southam said. "Innovation is something many organisations aspire to achieve. MyRealtor and Gran Central represent a natural partnership focused on helping investors exceed their aspirations."
In addition to learning about the development itself, attendees will gain valuable insights into factors driving growth in Panama's real estate market, including urban regeneration, increasing international investment interest and demand for modern residential accommodation in key city locations.
The event forms part of the Chamber's ongoing Business After Hours programme, which provides members with opportunities to build professional relationships, discover new business opportunities and learn about emerging trends across a variety of industries.
Food and beverages will be served throughout the evening. As with all Business After Hours events, the opportunity to network with other Chamber businesses and establish partnerships and new business connections in a convivial atmosphere will be a vital feature.
