On Saturday, 17 October, police conducted an operation at a residence off Saddlewood Drive in Bodden Town. During the search, officers located quantities of ammunition and ganja.
As a result, a 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Bodden Town, were arrested on suspicion of possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ganja.
The woman was taken into custody and subsequently released on police bail. The man remained in custody pending further investigation and has since been formally charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm (Ammunition) and Possession of a Controlled Drug.
He recently appeared before the court, where he was granted bail to reappear on Thursday, 22 October.
