The Ministry of Planning, Lands, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure (PLAHI) advises that the Minister with responsibility for the Port Authority, the Hon. Johany Ebanks, met on Thursday morning with the Port Authority Board Chairman, management, and staff representatives.
The meeting focused on resolving a longstanding employee claim that the Court previously determined to be statute-barred.
Participating staff completed their scheduled shifts before attending the meeting.
Port operations remained fully functional, and no future service disruptions are anticipated.
Management and staff continue to carry out their critical duties, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of passengers, goods, and essential supplies for the Cayman Islands.
The matter remains under active consideration, with all parties committed to constructive dialogue and a fair resolution.
