The Ministry of Health, Environment and Sustainability is reminding members of the public that this is the final week to provide feedback on four proposed Bills that will help shape the Cayman Islands’ health and environmental health framework.
Public consultation remains open on:
Minister for Health, Environment and Sustainability, Hon. Katherine Ebanks-Wilks, encouraged members of the public and stakeholders to use the remaining days to make their voices heard.
“These proposed laws will help shape how we protect the health and wellbeing of our people and communities for years to come. This consultation is an opportunity for everyone to have a voice in that future. I encourage you to take a few minutes to look at what is being proposed and tell us what you think. Your experience, your perspective and your ideas matter, and there is still time to make sure they are heard.”
Members of the public can provide feedback by completing the online surveys or submitting comments by email. Full details on each of the proposed Bills, including supporting information and instructions on how to provide feedback, are available at publicconsultation.gov.ky.
The proposed legislation forms part of the Government’s wider programme to modernise the Cayman Islands’ health-related legislative framework. The Ministry has held public town halls across all three Cayman Islands and engaged directly with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders as part of the consultation process. For those who were unable to attend the public town hall presentations on the proposed legislation, a recording of the final town hall, along with the accompanying slide presentation, is available at this link.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, 25 September 2026.
