The Cayman Islands Judiciary and the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) came together on Friday, 23 October 2026, to celebrate the retirement of Auxiliary Constable Elmore Christie, recognising his 22 years of service at the Law Courts and 19 years with the RCIPS.
Mr Christie began his career at the Law Courts as a security guard before joining the RCIPS as an Auxiliary Constable. His years of dedicated service to both organisations were recognised at a joint retirement appreciation function held at the George Town Yacht Club.
The celebration brought together colleagues, friends and representatives of both organisations to reflect on Mr Christie’s contributions and wish him well as he begins his retirement.
The Chief Magistrate, Her Honour Angelyn Hernandez, joined colleagues from the Judiciary in paying tribute to Mr Christie and presenting a retirement gift in appreciation of his contributions to the Courts.
Commissioner of Police Kurt Walton and Deputy Commissioner of Police Robert Atkin were among the RCIPS representatives who participated in the celebration, which included reflections on Mr Christie’s service and presentations in recognition of his contributions.
The afternoon provided an opportunity for colleagues and guests to share personal memories and well wishes, before Mr Christie offered his own remarks.
The Judiciary extends its sincere appreciation to Mr Christie for his years of dedicated service and wishes him a happy and fulfilling retirement.
