The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is advising the public that an alert has been issued concerning the recall of certain limited varieties of DIRTY® POTATO CHIPS, due to potential contamination with Salmonella.
Salmonella is an organism which can cause symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain and fever. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should seek medical attention if necessary.
DEH is co-ordinating with importers, wholesalers and retailers who have purchased and sold these products originating from Utz. Quality Foods LLC, to have the product withdrawn from the food supply, until further notice. We will continue to monitor bulk disposal, and keep the public informed in due course of the developments regarding the safety of this food product.

The DEH is advising consumers to avoid consuming the product and either dispose of small quantities in your regular garbage or return packages to the point of purchase.
