The public is being advised that the George Town Police Station is relocating to 19 Eastern Avenue, formerly One Technology Square or the Flow Building, as of Monday, 13 April.
All general services provided at the George Town Police Station, including walk-in reports, and electronic monitoring check-ins, will be provided at this new location. The Community Policing, Scenes of Crime, Major Events, and Victim Care Units will also be operating from this location beginning on Monday, 13 April.
The phone number for the George Town Police Station (949-4222), along with phone numbers for the other mentioned units, will remain the same.
“This move marks a long overdue transition to a proper long-term location for the George Town Police Station,” says Commissioner of Police Kurt Walton. “The new location has been fully retrofitted to meet the needs of the units that will be stationed there, and provides easier access and parking for members of the public who require our services. This will allow us to more effectively deliver on our mission and vision of working with our communities and for our communities, to keep the Cayman Islands safe.”
To ensure public safety during the move, the existing George Town Police Station on Elgin Avenue (old JN Building) will remain operational until 7:00 AM on Monday, 13 April. After this time, the Elgin Avenue site will be closed to the public, and all walk-in services must be sought at the new Eastern Avenue location.
