International College of the Cayman Islands Opens Career Readiness Workshop to the Public, Highlights the Power of Networking

The International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI) successfully hosted its Career Readiness Workshop, The Power of Networking, recently. via Zoom. For the first time, the workshop was opened to the general public, reflecting ICCI’s continued commitment to supporting not only its students but the wider Cayman Islands community in developing essential career skills.

The featured guest speaker was Luisa Roberts, a Board member of Connect by Nova, who delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on the importance of building professional relationships. Participants learned practical strategies for effective networking, how to confidently present themselves in professional environments, and how to leverage connections to advance their careers. The session provided attendees with actionable tools they can apply immediately, whether they are students, recent graduates, or working professionals seeking growth opportunities.

Interim President Dr. John Cummings emphasized the significance of these workshops in preparing individuals for success in today’s competitive workforce. “At ICCI, we believe career readiness extends beyond the classroom.
