The Maples Group today announced the signing of a long-term agreement to establish its new Cayman headquarters at 90 Nexus Way, Camana Bay – a milestone investment that reinforces the Group’s commitment to its people, clients and the Cayman Islands as a leading global financial centre.
The purpose‑built headquarters will consolidate several Cayman-based teams into one efficient and collaborative environment, bringing the majority of the Group’s Cayman Islands operations together under one roof for the first time in over two decades. The move supports its long-standing One Group strategy, improving alignment across teams and strengthening its integrated service offering.
The new headquarters will occupy over 70% of 90 Nexus Way and represents one of the largest commercial real estate transactions in Cayman’s history. The space has been tailored to support the evolving needs of a global professional services organisation, featuring state-of-the-art technology, flexible workspaces and a wide range of focus, team and client-facing environments. These include executive boardrooms, team spaces, quiet rooms, cafés and informal meeting areas, all designed to support a more connected, agile and a modern and flexible way of working.
Michael Richardson, Managing Partner of the Maples Group’s law firm, Maples and Calder, in the Cayman Islands, said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for the Maples Group. Our new headquarters will bring our teams together in a modern environment that fosters collaboration, supports innovation and reflects the scale and ambition of our business. It is also a clear demonstration of our long-term commitment to the future of our business here and to creating a workplace that supports our people now and in the future."
Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Maples Group, Guy Major added: “For us, this investment is about how the space will be used day to day - creating an environment that encourages movement, connection and flexibility, where people can move, meet and work together more naturally. When you have a workplace that people actively use and want to be in, it changes how teams connect, how they work together and ultimately how they deliver for our clients.”
Beyond the workplace itself, 90 Nexus Way is integrated into the wider Camana Bay community, offering access to a vibrant, amenity-rich environment that supports both professional and personal wellbeing. The building also incorporates sustainable design principles, including LEED-aligned standards, energy-efficient systems and renewable energy generation, contributing to a forward-looking and responsible long-term investment.
Mark VanDevelde, Executive Director and CEO of Dart, said: “Welcoming the Maples Group as a cornerstone tenant is a defining moment for Camana Bay and is a powerful endorsement of our vision for the Camana Bay community. As Camana Bay looks ahead to its 20th anniversary, and Maples to its 60th, this partnership is a testament to our joint commitment to the Cayman Islands, its people and continued leadership as a top-tier global financial centre.”
Construction and fit‑out activities for 90 Nexus Way will continue throughout 2026 and 2027, with the Maples Group move‑in planned for Fall 2027, aligning with the Group’s 60th anniversary.
