The Second Meeting of the 2026-2027 Session of Parliament is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 30th September 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the House of Parliament.
A range of legislative and parliamentary business is expected to come before the House, including twelve (12) Bills, four (4) Government Motions, five (5) Private Members’ Motions, a number of Parliamentary Questions and reports by various Ministries, Portfolios, Offices, and Government-owned entities to be Tabled.
The Bills expected to be considered during the Meeting are as follows:
1. Local Companies (Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2026;
2. Tobacco (Amendment) Bill, 2026;
3. Mutual Legal Assistance (United States of America) (Amendment) Bill, 2026;
4. Notaries Public (Amendment) Bill, 2026;
5. Criminal Records (Spent Convictions) (Amendment) Bill, 2026;
6. Monetary Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2026;
7. Health Practice (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2026;
8. Public Health Bill, 2026;
9. Environmental Health Bill, 2026;
10. Development and Planning (Amendment) Bill, 2026;
11. Fuel Market Regulation (Amendment) Bill, 2026; and 1
2. National Conservation (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The public is invited to follow the proceedings through the live broadcasts on the Government’s YouTube channel, CIGTV cable network, and The Breeze, 105.3 FM. Members of the public are welcome to attend in person, in business attire, at the House of Parliament after registering with Security. Relevant documents and updates will be posted on Parliament’s official website, www.parliament.ky, ahead of the Meeting.
