Police Arrest and Formally Charge Man with Rape in Cayman Brac

A 31-year-old man who resides in Cayman Brac was arrested and formally charged with Rape following an incident that took place in the area of Cemetery Road in Cayman Brac on 31 January 2026.

It was reported that a man and another man, who are known to each other, were at the location sometime after midnight on Friday, 30th January, into the early hours of Saturday morning, 31^st January, when the incident occurred.

The victim involved in the incident was transported to the hospital, where he was examined by the attending doctor and released.

The accused man was arrested on Monday, 2 February, and transferred to Grand Cayman, where he was formally charged and appeared in court today, 4 February. He was remanded in custody to reappear on Friday, 6^th February.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing, and police are encouraging anyone with information to call the Criminal Investigations Unit at 949-4222.
