Shortly before 10:00PM on Saturday, 20 June, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at an address off Sound Way, in George Town. It was reported that two masked men attended the location and forced their way into the residence. The men were reported to be armed with what appeared to be handguns. The men robbed the occupants of the house of a quantity of cash as well as jewellery, and then made off on foot.
No shots were fired during the incident.
One suspect is described as being tall and heavyset, and of dark complexion, with low cut hair. The second suspect is described as being tall, of medium build and light complexion, with short braids or dreadlocks. Both men were dressed in long-sleeved shirts, black pants and black shoes.
The matter is under investigation by George Town CID. Anyone who may have any information, or seen anything suspicious in the area, at or near the time of the incident, is asked to contact 949-4222.
