The Family Resource Centre (FRC) invites parents to sign up for their upcoming world-class parenting programmes. These programmes are all free to the public and are designed to help parents and caregivers develop tools and strategies to parent confidently.

To encourage parents to learn more about the over ten programmes that are being offered from August to December 2023, the FRC will be hosting two virtual information sessions at 12:00 PM on 15 August and 22 August respectively. These sessions will give parents and caregivers the opportunity to speak directly to the programme organisers and learn how the FRC can assist them on their parenting journey.

Programmes included in the schedule are the SNAP® training, the Triple P (Teen) programme, and the Family Transitions (Triple P) programme. SNAP® stands for STOP NOW AND PLAN and is a proven model to assist children struggling with behavioural issues and their parents to make better choices “in the moment”. The Triple P programmes have been utilised around the world and are some of the FRC’s most effective programmes. Information about these and the other programmes being offered can be found on the FRC website or by attending the virtual information sessions.

All of the Centre’s programmes are designed to improve the lives of the people in the Cayman Islands. The programmes cover a range of ages, from six years old to teenagers, and many are tailor-made for specific parenting and family needs. There are also programmes that can be offered based on individual needs.

The FRC is dedicated to providing a wide range of services and programmes to promote and support healthy family relationships. The FRC is a Government agency under the Department of Counselling Services within the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
