The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) confirms the arrest of a 37-year-old male visitor after a firearm was discovered in his luggage at Owen Roberts International Airport on Thursday, 16 April 2026.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m., officers searched the man’s luggage following his arrival on a flight and recovered a handgun with ammunition. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an unlicensed firearm. He was later bailed and the investigation continues.
