DES Addresses Incident Involving Student and School Bus Driver

The Department of Education Services (DES) is aware of an incident involving a secondary school student and a contracted school bus driver on Wednesday afternoon (18 March). The matter is currently being investigated.

Acting DES Director, Dr. Richard Wildman, said, “The safety, wellbeing and dignity of all students and staff remain our priority. We expect all interactions within the school community to reflect respect, care and appropriate behaviour.”

Dr. Wildman added, “We are working closely with the school and relevant parties to ensure the matter is addressed appropriately, with the best interests of those involved in mind.”
