One Man Charged Following Wounding Incident in George Town

A 34-year-old man, of a Bodden Town address, has been formally charged with Wounding with Intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm, Damage to Property, and Possession of an Offensive Weapon.

On Tuesday, 19 May, shortly before 9:30 PM, officers attended a residential address in the vicinity of Breezy Way in George Town where it was reported that two men, known to each other, were involved in an altercation during which one man received stab wounds to his chest and forearm and a vehicle was damaged.

Police officers arrested the 34-year-old man, who has since been formally charged.

The injured man, who was transported to the Anthony S. Eden Hospital, is currently in stable condition and continues to receive treatment for what are believed to be serious wounds.

The 34-year-old is scheduled to appear before the court on Friday, 5 June.

The matter remains under police investigation.
