Police Investigate Two-Vehicle Collision on West Bay Road

On Saturday, 9 May, police officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a micro-mobility device and another vehicle along West Bay Road, in the vicinity of the four-way junction of West Church Street.

 

It was reported that at approximately 2:00AM, the micro-mobility device was travelling south along West Bay Road when it collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, causing the vehicle to overturn. The rider was transported, by ambulance, to the George Town Hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be serious, however, he is currently in stable condition.

 

Both vehicles were observed to have extensive damage. Officers spoke with the driver of the motor vehicle, who was administered a breathalyzer test which proved negative results. The driver also declined medical attention.

 

The collision is being investigated by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit.
