On Wednesday, 5 August, RCIPS officers, supported by representatives from the Department of Environmental Health (DEH), conducted a Day of Action operation in the Walters Road area of George Town.
The operation was carried out in response to concerns about increased anti-social behaviour in the area, and aimed to disrupt criminal activity and improve public safety.
During the Day of Action, officers identified and arrested one individual who was wanted on warrant for failing to appear before the court. A second individual was arrested on suspicion of harassment, alarm or distress offence.
Officers also conducted assessments in the Sparky Drive area, where several derelict vehicles were identified and removed by DEH. Other vehicles that had been abandoned along Walters Road were also removed.
The RCIPS, supported by its partner agencies, will continue working to promote public safety in all communities across the Cayman Islands.
