13 March 2026, 05:36 PM

The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) repatriated six (6) irregular migrants to the Republic of Cuba on Friday, 6 March 2026.

The six male migrants were escorted by Customs and Border Control Officers and Prison Officers. They departed Grand Cayman on a non-chartered Cayman Airways flight at approximately 12:55 p.m. This brings the total number of migrants repatriated to Cuba since the beginning of 2026 to twenty (20).

CBC Director Bruce D. Smith expressed his thanks for the support of our partner agencies in executing another successful operation. There are twenty-four (24) irregular Cuban migrants currently in the Cayman Islands and additional repatriation flights will be arranged as processing continues.
