Man Formally Charged Following 2025 Recovery of Over 500lbs of Ganja

On Friday, 28 February 2025, at approximately 4:00PM, officers conducted a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in the Midland Acres area of Bodden Town. During the search, a large quantity of ganja, amounting to 538lbs, was recovered within a residence. Investigations identified the occupant of the residence, who was sought by police as a suspect in the matter.

The suspect, a man age 45 residing in Bodden Town, has since been arrested and formally charged with Possession of Ganja and Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply. He appeared in court on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, and has been remanded in custody pending a further appearance on 10 February 2026.
