UPDATE: Man Formally Charged for 2023 Frank Sound Fatal Collision

The man, age 47 of North Side, who was arrested in relation to a fatal collision involving a cyclist on Frank Sound Road on 28 March, 2023, has been formally charged with the following offenses:

-Causing Death by Dangerous Driving,

-Causing Death by Careless Driving,

-Causing Death While Driving Whilst Disqualified,

-Causing Death While Driving Without Insurance,

-Causing Grievous Bodily Harm, and

-Conspiracy to Defeat Justice

He appeared in court on Monday, 19 January 2026, and was granted bail pending a further appearance.

UPDATE: Police Arrest Driver in Fatal Collision in Frank Sound, 29 March

Police have now arrested the driver of a white Chevrolet Blazer which was involved in a fatal collision last night at about 9:30PM on Frank Sound Road, and who subsequently left the scene of the collision. The man, age 47 of North Side, has been arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and Causing Death by Careless Driving, he remains in custody as investigations continue.

The second cyclist, who was injured in the collision and transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, has since been discharged.
