A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery following police investigations into the armed robbery that took place on Mary Street on Sunday, 1 March.
He remains in custody pending further investigations.

Initial: Police Investigate Armed Robbery on Mary Street, George Town, 1 March
Just after 4am on 1 March, police responded to Mary Street where it was reported that there was a robbery at a convenience store.
It was reported that a masked man entered the establishment brandishing a gun and demanded cash. Having stolen a quantity of cash, he fled the location, heading in the direction of Shedden Road.
There were no reports of shots being fired or injuries made to the police resulting from this incident.
